Urgent appeal to trace Kilkenny truck driver missing in France

A KILKENNY based haulage company has issued an urgent appeal to assist in tracing one of its truck drivers.

Rene Champaud has been missing in the South of France since last Friday.

Rene, originally from South Africa, is a driver for Knocktopher based Victor Brennan Transport, and they have issued the appeal in the hopes of tracking him down.

The company says it is unlike Rene to not be in touch.

Rene was driving a Kilkenny registered truck – 161 kk 124 -White Renault T-Series and his last known location was on the outskirts of Narbonne, just north of the Pyrenees on the Mediterranean coast.

The appeal has been made to drivers in France and the continent to look out for both Rene. Both the French authorities and local garda are working on the case.
