WATER WORKS: Kilkenny city residents face outages and traffic disruption

RESIDENTS and businesses in Kilkenny city have been warned to expect water outages and traffic disruption as a result of major repair works today.

Dean Street and surrounding areas of the city will be affected by the works, which will get underway from 8am this morning and last until 6am tomorrow.

Householders in these parts of the city have been told to expect disruptions to their water supplies. And motorists in the Dean Street area will also face some delays as a traffic management system is put in place.

Irish Water warned it could take up to three hours after the restoration time for supplies to return fully return.
