WEATHER ALERT: Hair we go again! Kilkenny battered by 100kph winds

Kilkenny will be hit by 100kph winds which are set to hit the city and county all day and into tomorrow morning.

Kilkenny was one of nine counties issued with a Status Yellow wind alert by Met Éireann last night.

The warning will be in place until 9am tomorrow morning.

Neighbouring Carlow, Wexford, Waterford, Tipperary and counties Wicklow, Cork, Kerry and Limerick were also included in the wing warning.

Met Éireann also warned there is a significant risk of coastal flooding due to the high winds.
