WEATHER ALERT: Snow and ice warning issued for Kilkenny
Met Éireann has issued a status yellow snow and ice warning Kfor ilkenny and the rest of the country.
The warning comes into effect from 10pm tonight and remains in place until noon tomorrow.
The national forecaster warned there will be blustery conditions and “squally showers of hail, sleet and snow”.
This is expected to create icy stretches on untreated surfaces, which the warning says will lead to hazardous driving conditions tonight and tomorrow morning.
Met Éireann also warned “some thunder and lightning” is expected.
