WEATHER ALERT: Status Yellow rain and thunder warning issued for Kilkenny

THUNDERSTORMS and flooding could be on the way in Kilkenny today as Met Eireann placed a status yellow weather warning on the county.
Met Éireann says the flooding and thunderstorms could cause hazardous driving conditions.
The heavy rain is forecast to begin this afternoon and the status yellow warning will remain in place until early Saturday morning.
It will be a humid day and night, with just some hazy sunny spells, top temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees generally.
Overnight the rain will clear and tomorrow will be breezy with a few showers. Temperatures will reach no more than 21 degrees.
