WEATHER WARNING: Heavy rain and flooding expected for Kilkenny
Kilkenny residents are being warned to expect heavy rains and possible flooding overnight, which could make driving conditions extremely dangerous.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow – Rainfall Warning for five counties including Kilkenny.
The national weather forecaster said: “From early hours of Wednesday to noon on Thursday, spells of heavy rain at times will give amounts of 30 to 50 mm with a risk of spot flooding.”
The warning is valid from midnight tonight until 12pm Thursday, November 21.
The rainfall and flooding warning covers Waterford, Wexford, Tipperary, Cork and Kilkenny.
