WEEKEND WEATHER: Kilkenny’s dreaming of a … mild and settled Christmas

It appears Kilkenny can look forward to a mild and settled Christmas.

In its latest forecast, Met Éireann said: “Early indications suggest high pressure will remain the dominant feature during the early days of Christmas week with lots of dry and settled weather expected. Turning somewhat colder from Monday night with night frosts developing as the week progresses.”

Met Éireann said today will be another largely dry and cloudy day with occasional sunny intervals and highest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees.

And it predicted tomorrow, Sunday and Monday will “all be similar days”, rather cloudy with occasional mist, drizzle and fog on hills and mountains, with temperatures in the day time of between 7 and 9 degrees and between 5 and 7 degrees at night.
