Wheels of justice finally turn for local boy whose bike was stolen on Christmas Day
Kilkenny gardai have made a very late Christmas wish come true for a local boy whose bicycle was stolen just hours after he unwrapped it on the morning of December 25 last.
Officers never gave up the search for the boy’s bike, which was stolen from the family’s front garden on the Kilkenny border near Faugheen on Christmas morning.
Recently they tracked down those responsible for the festive theft and located the bicycle at a location in Mooncoin, some 20km away from the young boy’s home.
A suspect has been identified by gardai for handling the stolen bike.
Kilkenny gardai said investigations into the incident are “ongoing”.
