Car-azy: Kilkenny gardai stop vehicle towing trailer with lethal load on M9
KILKENNY gardai did a double take when they saw this pile of rusted junk hurtling down the motorway yesterday.
The mangled vehicle was crudely strapped onto a tiny trailer that was clearly too small to fully contain the battered remains of what appears to have once been a Ford Kia with thin bits of rope.
The stunned officers pulled the vehicle over at an Operation Thor checkpoint off the M9 at Knocktopher.
After questioning the driver, gardai learned he had travelled down the M9 from Kilkenny city with the lethal load strapped onto the trailer.
Gardai confirmed the trailer was “safely towed away”.
