Appeal for witnesses to brutal assault of man attacked in his car as he asked for directions
GARDAI in Kilkenny have renewed their appealed for information about a vicious and unprovoked assault on a man who got lost while driving his car in the city.
The unprovoked attack occurred at Wetlands on Saturday, June 22, evening shortly after the man had taken a wrong turn.
The man, a visitor to the city, was brutally assaulted in his car as he asked for directions.
He was set upon as he leaned out the window of the car after asking a passer-by advice on directions.
The victim managed to drive off, but the brutal and unprovoked attack left him with bruising and swelling to his face.
Kilkenny gardai are investigating the assault. They have again urged anyone who may have witnessed the attack to contact Kilkenny Garda station on 056 555 7000.
