Last chance for final tickets as Cody puts Cats through their paces in front of fans

By COLIN BARTLEY

A HUGE crowd is expected to flock to Nowlan Park this evening as fans get a final chance to catch the Cats before they lock down their preparations for this Sunday’s All-Ireland decider.

As well as a limited amount of tickets going on sale to the public at Nowlan Park this evening, the Cats will hold an open training session so fans can catch one last glimpse of their heroes before Sunday’s showdown with Tipperary.

Brian Cody and his team of selectors will be putting the team through their paces from 6 pm onwards. Tickets go on sale when the session is over.

Supporters will be able to view training from Ardan de Gras only and are asked to enter the stadium via the Hebron Road.

The tickets on sale this evening will be for the Hill 16 or the Nally terrace in Croke Park.

Kilkenny GAA PRO, Paul Fitzgerald believes there should be enough tickets to keep everyone who wants to attend the final happy.

Speaking to KilkennyNow.ie, Paul said: “The run on tickets has been very good so far.”

“Some of the bigger clubs in the city have been under severe pressure to get enough for all their members, while a few of the smaller clubs around the county were stretched for tickets also.

“We got some tickets back in from some clubs and some from the system. We think we should have enough tonight for everyone who wants a ticket.”

Terrace tickets for Sunday’s final are priced at €45, stand ticket prices are up to double that.
