New documentary by Kilkenny broadcaster Evanne about a subject very close to her heart

A new TV documentary by Kilkenny presenter and former camogie star Evanne Ní Chuilinn, about a topic very close to her heart, will be broadcast tonight.

‘Uchtú,’ explores the story and history of adoption in Ireland, a seldom talked about aspect of recent Irish society. Evanne was herself adopted as an infant 38 years ago.

During the in-depth, 70-minute documentary, Evanne meets with law-makers, activists, and people who have gone through the adoption process, both children and parents. The documentary provides the human story behind each and every aspect of adoption.

The programme is broadcast on TG4 at 9.30pm this evening.
