One more death from virus, just 25 new cases, salons warn of price hikes as thousands queue
One more person has died after contracting the coronavirus as 25 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
It brings the overall death toll as a result of the virus to 1,679. There are now 25,201 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily update from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
Meanwhile, as Covid-19 restrictions are eased tomorrow, a report today says salons across the country have thousands of clients queuing up to have their locks trimmed after three months under lockdown.
And they warned prices may have to rise to cover the cost of personal protective equipment (PPE) for staff.
Paul Dromgoole, owner of Zeba, told The Sunday Times an increase of up to 15% increase may be on the cards for customers desperate to get their first post-lockdown haircut.
