Gardai increase patrols at Kilkenny beauty spots plagued by anti-social behaviour

Gardai in Kilkenny city have publicly appealed to people to respect our local amenities after rubbish was left strewn around popular beauty spots in recent weeks.

In the latest incidents, groups of people carelessly discarded waste and rubbish along Linear Park on the banks of the Nore.

A local Garda spokesperson commented: “Gardai in Kilkenny are continuing patrols in the Linear Park and other amenity areas. 99% of people using these beauty spots for their leisure value are respecting them. A small minority are not.”

Gardai have members of the public to report any anti social behaviour to Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 777 5000.
