Break out the popcorn: Kilkenny’s new IMC cinema among first to reopen this weekend

The silver screen will return to Kilkenny this weekend after the IMC announced their intentions to reopen their new multiplex in the city.

The new cinema on Barrack Street will be one of the first three IMC’s to reopen following the Covid-19 lockdown.

Films will be shown at the recently completed cinema from Friday. IMC will also open its Dun Laoghaire and Galway cinemas too, but only at the weekends for the time being.

IMC confirmed today: “We’re delighted to announce our first three cinemas to reopen this weekend in ROI

“IMC Dun Laoghaire IMC Galway IMC Kilkenny Barrack Street The cinemas will be open Fri, Sat and Sun only for the time being, and we have new measures in place to ensure a safe visit.”
