WEATHER ALERT: Snow joke – Kilkenny included in new warning from Met Éireann
Kilkenny could be in for a White post-Christmas!
It comes after Met Éireann issued a Status Yellow Snow/Ice warning for Kilkenny and 11 other counties, including neighbouring Carlow, Tipperary, Wexford and Waterford, along with counties Kildare, Laois, Offaly, Wicklow, Donegal, Leitrim and Sligo.
The national forecaster said low-lying areas and not just hills and higher ground could see snow accumulations over the next 24 hours.
The snow warning comes into effect from midnight tonight and will remain until 12pm tomorrow.
