ALERT: Criminals target legal firearms, shotgun stolen from Kilkenny farm

A FIREARM was stolen during a break-in at a farm in county Kilkenny.
The burglary happened overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday last, sometime between 10.30pm and 7.30am.
The thieves made their way to a farm in Kilmanagh, near Callan, where they broke into an office in the farmyard by forcing open the door.
The burglars made off with a shotgun, along with computers and office equipment.
Gardaí are investigating the break-in. They have urged potential eyewitnesses or anyone who noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Callan Garda Station on 056 770 6630.
