Kilkenny start-up makes finals of National Entrerprise Awards
A Kilkenny IT company has been confirmed as a finalist in this year’s prestigious National Enterprise Awards.
LoanITT will compete against 29 other finalists in the virtual award ceremony to be held on February 11, with the overall winners battling it out for €50,000 prize fund.
LoanITT was founded by John Duggan, originally from Tullahought, and Padraig Nolan, a native of county Limerick, and is headquartered at MacDonagh Junction.
The company provides car, agricultural and commercial finance through a digitalised credit application, and has developed a platform that streamlines the application process and removes the need for documentation.
It is expected the company will have 40 employees on its books by the end of this year.
Now in its 22nd year, the National Enterprise Awards celebrate small businesses and includes awards that recognise excellence in exporting, sustainability and innovation along with eight regional awards and an overall winner.
Head of Enterprise Kilkenny Fiona Deegan said: “It has been a challenging year for small businesses so this is a chance to highlight positive stories and businesses who have excelled in the face of unprecedented challenges.”
