Kilkenny Council to rule on plans for large new housing development
Plans for a large new housing development in county Kilkenny are back on track.
Last July Dunmore Property Development Co Limited lodged an application with Kilkenny County Council seeking permission to build 40 new homes at Rathculliheen, beside the existing Abbeygate estate in Ferrybank.
In September the local authority reverted to the developer with a number of questions concerning the site. These included the number of homes in the development, how they would deal with foundations previously laid down on the site, water and electric services, road and pedestrian access and landscaping.
Earlier this month the developer responded to the council’s request and provided them with a document of more than 90-pages furnished with further detail on the plans.
The council will decide if the development gets the go-ahead early next month.
If approved, the development will consists of 32 two-storey, three bedroom semi-detached houses; four two-storey, three-bedroom semi-detached dwellings; two two-storey three bedroom detached homes and two further two-story, two bedroom mid-terrace units.
