Disused farmyard in Kilkenny city to be transformed into new housing estate
A disused farmyard on the edge of Kilkenny city will be transformed into a development of family homes.
Kilkenny County Council has approved plans by developer Raggett Construction Limited to build 20 homes on a site at Smithland on the Waterford Road.
The development will include the demolition of existing disused farm sheds, to be replaced by three four-bedroom dormer bungalows, 13 three-bedroom, two storey townhouses and four two-bedroom, two storey townhouses.
A new entrance will be constructed for access off the Waterford Road will also be constructed as part of the development.
