Golden fleece! Burglars targeting Kilkenny homes for designer goods in countdown to Christmas
Gardai are on the lookout for a county Kilkenny burglar who appears to have a penchant for the finer things in life.
Jewellery, expensive watches and designer accessories were stolen from a house on the Annamult Road in Bennettsbridge while the owners were away for a few days.
The burglars managed to break-down the back door of the house sometime between 9am on Thursday, December 5 and 12.30pm on Saturday, December 7.
Gold earrings, a golden bracelet, a gold watch, two Louis Vuitton bags and a Louis Vuitton wallet were taken during the break-in.
Anyone with information, or who may have noticed anything suspicious in the Bennettsbridge area during those times, is asked to contact Thomastown Garda Station on 056 775 4150.
