WATCH: Kilkenny hotel’s video skit to announce reopening is big hit on social media

A Kilkenny hotel has gone viral for a hilarious video it created to coincide with their reopening following the lifting of lockdown restrictions.

The Newpark Hotel on Kilkenny’s Castlecomer Road released the short video in an effort to create something to make them stand out from the crowd now that people book stays in hotels again.

The video, which has close to 100,000 views on Facebook, shows staff in the hotel being reawaken from their lockdown slum when word spreads that hospitality is opening once again.

The staff, the hotel and even the residents of the hotel’s farm are all seen being spruced up in expectation of guests, and all done to the up-tempo tune ‘Walkin on Sunshine’ by Katrina and the Waves.
