LATEST: 2,125 new cases of virus confirmed
A further 2,098 people have contracted the coronavirus, the Department of Health confirmed this evening.
That’s an increase of 27 on yesterday’s total.
The number of people with the virus in hospital has been recorded at 259, an increase of eight on yesterday’s numbers.
There are 54 patients in intensive care, up two on yesterday.
