Draw for the 2024 Provincial Senior Football Championships Produces Some Tasty Ties

The draw for the 2024 Provincial Senior Football Championships has produced several mouthwatering ties.

Reining Leinster champions Dublin will kick off the defence of their title with a quarter-final tie against Longford or Meath.

Dessie Farrell’s team went on to claim the All-Ireland championship last season and will be extremely tough to beat in the provincial tournament.

Kildare will hope for a good run in the Leinster competition after being drawn to face either Westmeath or Wicklow, while 2023 runners-up Louth will meet either Carlow or Wexford.

The Ulster quarter-final between Derry and Donegal will attract plenty of headlines, particularly with former Tyrone manager Mickey Harte now in charge of the former.

Derry are in the opposite half of the draw to Tyrone, setting up the possibility of the two teams meeting in what would be an epic Ulster clash.

Reigning Munster champions Kerry will play the winners of Cork and Limerick in their provincial semi-final, while Clare will meet the winners of Waterford and Tipperary.

Roscommon await the winners of New York and Mayo in the Connacht semi-finals, while the winners of London and Galway will travel to face either Sligo or Leitrim.
