Herd the good news? Ireland’s biggest sheep breeding event is returning to Kilkenny
THE largest sheep breeding event in Ireland is returning to Kilkenny.
The National Sheep Breeders Association (NSBA) RED MILLS Championships will take place on Saturday, June 8 at Cillín Hill Mart.
A whole host of activities are planned for the day, including industry related talks, exhibitions, trade stands, working sheepdog trials and Agri-kids workshops.
Speaking ahead of the event, NSBA Chair Sinead Brophy said: “As a committee we are very grateful for our industry sponsors who, through their involvement and support, are a necessary factor in the successful planning and hosting of this event. We have a number of sponsors now involved. RED MILLS are the main sponsor. Other associate sponsors confirmed thus far include Cormac Tagging, MSD, Irish Farmers Journal, Uniblock, The Suffolk Sheep Society and Sheep Ireland. These have all confirmed their support for 2019.”
