Drunk threw beer keg through window of well-known Kilkenny pub after being refused entry

A MAN was arrested after he threw a beer keg through the window of a well-known pub in Kilkenny city-centre in the early hours of the morning.

The incident occurred after 27-year-old was refused entry to the pub on John Street at 2.15am on Saturday morning.

Gardai arrived on the scene a short time later and the suspect was arrested and taken into custody at Kilkenny Garda Station.

He was subsequently released without charge. A file on the matter is currently being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
