UNCOVERED: Five of Kilkenny’s best beer gardens!
By Sinéad Connolly
KILKENNY is in full-on party mode as Bank Holiday revellers and comedy fans descend on the city for the Cat Laughs festival.
If you want to chill a bit from the madness there’s nothing better than kicking back over a drink or three in one of Kilkenny’s coolest outdoor gardens. The forecast is sunny, but also quite cool, so it’s maybe best to bring a jumper with you.
So whether you’re a local or a visitor to our beautiful Medieval City, here’s a quick guide to some of the best beer gardens Kilkenny has to offer.
Terrace Bar at the Kilkenny River Court Hotel, The Bridge, John Street
The magnificent Terrace Bar is the first on our list with its tranquil location just off the always bustling John Street. The walkway to the River Court Hotel’s newly revamped Sky Blue recently reopened and people have been flocking to it ever since. Revellers can enjoy one of Kilkenny’s finest views of the majestic Castle from the comfort of the riverside venue. So drop in and soak up the sun and the magical medieval surroundings when your feet get weary.
