A further seven pass away as pandemic payment extended until end of August
A further seven people lost their lives from Covid-19 in the Republic of Ireland in the last 24 hours, the HSE said this evening.
The total death toll here is now 1,670 while the number of confirmed cases has now reached 25,163 after another 28 were diagnosed.
Meanwhile, the Pandemic Unemployment Payment and the wage subsidy scheme will now run until the end of August, although the it will be split into two levels June 29.
Those whose prior earnings were above €200 will continue to get €350 per week but those below €199.99 per week, will get a PUP of €203 per week.
