Arrest made in Marie Tierney murder case
KILKENNY gardai have arrested a suspect in the Marie Tierney murder case.
The suspect, who is in his 70s, was arrested this morning.
He is currently being detained at Kilkenny Garda Station where he is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
Marie’s lifeless body was discovered on the Bleach Road, Kilkenny, on December 21, 1984.
