Ballyhale Shamrocks odds-on to be crowned Kilkenny champs for third year in a row

Ballyhale Shamrocks are hot odds-on shots to be crowned Kilkenny Senior Club Hurling champions again after their demolition job on Clara in Sunday’s quarter-final.
The All-Ireland champions flew out of the traps at Nowlan Park with four quickfire goals and their eventual 19-point winning margin saw them backed into 4/7 from 5/4 with BoyleSports to win their third consecutive county title.
O’Loughlin Gaels booked their semi-final spot on Saturday with a 2-14 to 0-10 victory over Erins Own and remain the 3/1 second favourites.
BoyleSports spokesperson Lawrence Lyons said: “Ballyhale Shamrocks set down quite a marker and they were so well backed after their quarter-final performance that we had to cut them into odds-on at 4/7 from 5/4 to retain their Kilkenny crown.”
