Braking bad: Spate of bike thefts in Kilkenny City continues as two more stolen at river walk

The ongoing scourge of bicycle thefts in Kilkenny city shows no signs of abating as a further two bikes were reported stolen from a popular leisure area yesterday afternoon.
A Raleigh Hybrid bicycle and a second bike were stolen from Linear Park, Kilkenny City between 4pm and 5pm yesterday afternoon, while the owners were strolling.
The Raleigh bike is grey and black hybrid, with a sloped crossbar, mountain bike wheels and flat handlebars. There is no description of the second bike available as yet.
The latest theft brings to at least six bikes stolen in the city in the last number of weeks.
Gardai are still looking for information on the theft of another hybrid bike last week, a distinctive grey with yellow wheeled Specialized brand bike. While a second bike, a distinctive grey and white bike for kids, with the word “Craze” emblazoned on the frame is also still missing.
