BREAKING: Kilkenny among 330 new cases of virus as eight further deaths confirmed
A further eight people have died after contracting the coronavirus as 330 new cases of Covid-19 were confirmed this evening.
It brings the overall death toll as a result of the virus to 2,018. There are now 69,802 confirmed cases of Covid-19 across the country, according to the latest daily briefing from the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
The breakdown of the latest cases is as follows: 99 are in Dublin, 28 in Cork, 26 in Louth, 25 in Meath, 21 in Donegal with the remaining 131 cases spread across 20 other counties, including five further infections in Kilkenny.
