Man arrested following heroin seizure in Kilkenny city

A DRUG dealer was arrested after he was found possession of a quantity of heroin in Kilkenny city.

The man was arrested by members of the Kilkenny Detective Unit, backed up by uniformed officers, targeting the sale and supply of “controlled drugs” in the city.

He was found to be in possession of an estimated €1,000 worth of the deadly drug.

A local Garda spokesperson said: “The male was detained at Kilkenny Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and later charged to Kilkenny District Court.”
