Speed demon clocked doing 212km/h on the M9
A MOTORIST has been clocked doing speeds of up to 212km/h on the M9.
The rogue driver appeared to be something of a hurry when he was caught zooming down the motorway.
But he ended up having to do a detour to a local Garda station after he was caught on camera (picture below) by the local Garda Roads Policing Unit, who happened to be carrying out a speed check on the M9 as part of the TIPSOL European Operation Speed Day.
Kilkenny gardai confirmed the motorist was charged with dangerous driving.
They added: “No excuse for this speed and placing other road users at risk.”
Gardai again urged motorists travelling this weekend to “slowdown” and “arrive alive”.
