Cannabis plants and pills seized in raids on properties in Kilkenny city
Gardai seized close to €8,000 worth of drugs in a series of planned raids in Kilkenny city yesterday evening.
A large quantity of cannabis plants and illegal tablets were discovered after two properties in the city were targeted by members of the Kilkenny Divisional Drugs Unit.
Some €1,600 worth of cannabis plants was discovered in the first house. In the second property, plants worth up to €5,000 – together with a stash of 550 pills – were found.
The tablets have been sent off to the Garda labs to establish what they are exactly.
No arrests were made and an investigation is underway.
