Car smashed up in driveway of Kilkenny home as owner looked on in horror
A car parked in the driveway of a home in county Kilkenny was smashed up while the horrified owner looked on from inside the house.
Gardai are investigating what is being called “an act of wanton vandalism”.
A man was seen running from the scene and jumping into a waiting car after smashing the front and rear windscreen of a car parked outside a house in Bolton Green in Callan.
The attack happened last Friday, March 26 at 10.30pm while the owners of the vehicle were inside.
The culprit then jumped into a waiting car, described as a dark coloured Ford Focus, which then sped off out of the estate.
A local Garda source told KilkennyNow.ie: “This appears to be nothing other than an act of wanton vandalism and we are trying to establish a motive for that attack.”
