Lotto luck: Celebrations at Kilkenny store after €12.7m Lotto windfall
The store that sold the winning €12.7 million Lotto tickets in Kilkenny on Wednesday night were toasting their success this morning.
National Lottery bosses revealed the Circle K Garage on Kilkenny’s Waterford Road was the seller of one of the biggest jackpots in the more than 30 years history of the draw.
It has now been confirmed that it was a person from Kilkenny who scooped the €12,740,043 Lotto jackpot on Wednesday night. They have made contact with Lotto bosses and arrangements are now being made for their prize to be paid.
Wednesday night’s €12,740,043 Lotto jackpot win is incredibly the 12th highest Lotto jackpot won since the game’s inception in 1988. While this is the second Lotto jackpot win this year.
In 2020, a total of 19 brand new millionaires were made by the Lotto in Ireland.
