Cat burglars: Gang steals engine parts from three same-model cars in Kilkenny

Catalytic convertors were stolen from three same-models cars in Kilkenny city and county over the weekend.
All three cars were Toyota Prius vehicles. Two of the thefts occurred in Kilkenny city between 5pm on Friday and 4pm on Saturday afternoon.
One of catalytic convertors was stolen from a red Prius parked on St Francis Terrace. The second was stolen less than a kilometre away from a bronze coloured Prius parked at Seville Lawn in St Margaret’s Field.
The third theft occurred in Callan where the owner of green Prius woke on Saturday morning to discover the catalytic convertor, which cost in the region of €1,500 to replace, had been removed overnight.
