Cats back in league action on May 8, All-Ireland Hurling final set for August 22

Kilkenny hurling fans won’t have to wait long to see their beloved Cats back in action after the GAA announced their intercounty calendar  for 2021.

The All-Ireland Hurling Final is due to take place on the weekend of August 21/22 it has been confirmed.

And the Cats will be back in league action next month, as the hurling league is set to begin on the weekend on May 8, to be wrapped up by the end of June.

The All-Ireland championship will begin in earnest in early July.

The GAA announced that all intercounty senior-level teams can resume training from April 19.

Club games are set to begin on the first weekend in September.

The full fixtures programme was announced by GAA this afternoon. They confirmed the All-Ireland football final will take place on the weekend of August 28/29. While the football league will begin on May 15.
