Hero of the Gaels: Kilkenny legend pulls no punches in new TG4 documentary

A Kilkenny hurling legend with eight All-Ireland titles to his name has been selected for the Laochra Gael treatment.

Eoin Larkin will feature on the popular TG4 programme over the coming season.

The James Stephen’s clubman played for Kilkenny seniors for 12 years between 2004 and 2016, pocketing eight All-Ireland’s and 10 Leinster championships along the way.

The proud army man also won an All-Ireland club championship with James Stephen’s back in 2004, beating Athenry in the final.

The programme pulls no punches and addresses Eoin’s personal struggles he vividly detailed in his poewrful autobiography Camouflage, which was published last year.

Eoin joins a list of notable hurling names to get the legend’s treatment this season including Johnny Pilkington, Liam Griffin, and Ryan O’Dwyer.

Eoin’s programme airs next Thursday, March 25 at 9.30pm.
