Council approves plan to build 40 new homes in Kilkenny town
A Kilkenny town is set to be transformed after the local authority gave the green light to a major new development that will house up to 140 people.
Kilkenny County Council has approved planning for the construction of 40 new homes at Ogenty, Gowran.
The development will see the construction of 10 two-storey, four-bedroom houses, 17 three-bed house and 13 two-bed homes.
The application from Bellerin 2 Ltd also provides for the provision of 87 car parking spaces and a vehicle access entrance.
The council also approved all landscaping and boundary treatments, road widening and realignment, the provision of a public footpath along the boundary of the site and all associated site development works.
