Burglars steal ‘substantial’ amount of cash after breaking into Kilkenny family’s home

THEIVES made off with a substantial amount of cash after breaking into and ransacking a home in county Kilkenny.

The burglars broke into a house in Barracore, Goresbridge, sometime between 1.30pm on Friday and 1.45am on Saturday.

The burglars gained entry by forcing open a front window. They then proceeded to ransack the bedrooms until they discovered the cash.

Gardai have urged potential eyewitnesses or anyone who may have noticed any suspicious activity in the area at the time to contact Goresbridge Garda Station on 059 977 5202.
