County Kilkenny school lodges plans to build much needed extra classroom and special needs facilty
A county Kilkenny primary school is looking to build a much needed extension which would see the school increase its current size by 50%.
The Board of Management of Ballyfacey National school near Glenmore has applied to Kilkenny County Council for permission to build an extension which will include a brand new classroom and a Special Education teaching/ resource room for the school.
The mixed-gender school currently caters for around 60 students in two classrooms. The proposed 110sq mt extension would provide much needed extra space.
A decision on the application is expected in early April.
