The county registered either one case per day or no cases per day in the run-up to the week ending April 2, resulting in just fiver cases over the entire week. The previous week, ending March 26, 25 cases were reported in the county.
Kilkenny’s case numbers fell by 62% in the week ending April 2, nationally case numbers fell by 21% during that same week.
Kilkenny has not reported double-digit case figures since March 23 when 11 cases were confirmed.

Just six counties recorded an increase in cases over that week, Cork, Kerry, Mayo, Westmeath, Laois and Monaghan as mentioned.
