Thieves cut gate locks in latest attack on Kilkenny farms

Thieves tried to gain entry to a local farm after cut through locks on the gate of the property.

The incident happened at a farm at Ballybur, Cuffesgrange last Saturday, May 8 close to the N76 Kilkenny to Callan road.

The owner of the farm noticed that locks on a gate into one of the fields had been cut and the gate left open.

No livestock was taken and no animals managed to make it out on the road.

It is the latest in a number of incidents of farm gates being tampered with around the county. Recently locks were cuts on gates and sheds of a farm in Ballyspellan near Johnstown.
