€100,000 worth of Kilkenny Gift Vouchers sold last year

PEOPLE purchased more than €100,000 worth of Kilkenny Gift Vouchers last year.

It brings to over €400,000 the amount of money that has been raised since Kikenny Chamber began the scheme a few years ahgo.

There are more than 150 outlets in Kilkenny where the vouchers can be used.

Kilkenny Chamber said the vouchers have many benefits to businesses and consumers.

A Chamber spokesperson said: “Kilkenny Gift Vouchers are a perfect way to reward your staff members. Remember that, with the Government Gift Scheme, a cash reward of €500 to your staff will cost you over €1000 (after tax, PRSI etc.), wheres a Kilkenny Gift voucher of the same value will have no extra costs. This is potentially a huge saving for businesses and supports the local economy at the same time.”
