€14,000 worth of drugs seized during Garda raids in county Kilkenny town

One person was arrested after gardaí seized  €14,000 worth of drugs following a series of planned raids in the Castlecomer area.

Local gardai and members of the Kilkenny Drugs Unit investigating the sale and supply of controlled drugs made the discovery after carrying out a number of searches yesterday.

A local Garda spokesperson confirmed one suspect was arrested under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1977 for possessing controlled drugs for unlawful sale or supply. They were detained at Kilkenny Garda Station for questioning.
