€35 million granted for two new secondary schools

KILKENNY is set to get two-new secondary schools in a €35 million investment in education.
The project will see the Kilkenny Carlow Education and Training board create the new schools on a single campus on a greenfield site in the western part of the city.
The first school is a 500 student multi-denomination co-educational school, the second is a Gaelcholáiste for 400 students, to cater for parents and children who want to continue their education through Irish.
Thompsons Architects and Designers, Limerick have been chosen to lead the project.
