Emergency meeting called by Mayor to address business closures in city

THE WORRYING increase of business closures in Kilkenny City is to be discussed at an emergency public meeting called by the Mayor.
Kilkenny Mayor Martin Brett is calling on the public to join business owners, representative bodies and council members to create a plan to deal with business closures.
The meeting will take place at City Hall this Monday from 11:30 am and is an open forum where all ideas and inputs are welcome.
A special task force will be formed from those in attendance to address the ongoing issue affecting the city, and the task force’s remit will be discussed.
