Far from purr-fect: Kilkenny’s Cat Laughs Festival postponed due to Covid-19
The Cat will have to wait a while before it gets its belly rubbed after the organisers of one of Kilkenny’s most popular festival had to make the call to postpone the event.
The Cat Laughs, which normally takes place annually on the June Bank Holiday weekend has, for the time being at least, being put on hold. However the organisers are confident the can claw their way back into the calendar later on in the year.
In an announcement made on twitter, The Cat Laughs organisers said: “Hi all, It won’t come as a great surprise that we are having to postpone the June dates for the @CatLaughsComedy due to the Covid-19 virus pandemic.
“We’re monitoring the situation and plan to bring Cat Laughs to some other weekend in the calendar, 2020.
“Much love, Team Cat.”
Organisers said they will be in touch in ticket holders and sponsors in the coming weeks with regards their plans for the rescheduled festival.
